Apple-pie-banana bread

I made a variation of our beloved banana bread which is a banana bread with apple pie flavor! It tastes amazing and I ate all of it within two days. The plan was to bake it so I would have a healthy snack to take to school for the whole week but I guess I'll have to bake three of them if I want it to last for more than two days. Hopefully, you'll love the bread (tastes like cake) as much as I do!
The recipe is almost the same as my normal banana bread with strawberries and blueberries which you can find in one of the previous posts here on the blog!


Here's the recipe:

3 ripe bananas
1 tbsp low-fat greek yoghurt (skyr)
1 egg
4-5 chopped apples
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cardamom
100 g oats
50 g FiberHUSK (optional)
2 tbsp raw cocoa nibs (optional)
 
 
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius or 347 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mash the bananas with a fork and chop the apples. Add the yoghurt and the egg and mix it together.
Mix all the dry ingredients and stir in all the wet ingredients and the fruit afterwards.
Put the dough (more liquid kind of consistency) into a bread form lined with baking paper and bake for an hour (I know, be patient).
If you like, you can decorate the bread with some apple slices.
 
 
Enjoy the healthiest apple pie you've ever tasted and serve with more skyr, fruit or just eat it alone for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert or snack!
